Frequently Asked Questions
Honest answers about availability, Google Play, permissions, privacy, offline behaviour, accessibility and support.
About YahHeardWhat is YahHeard?
YahHeard is an independent software maker building Android apps, games, utilities, camera experiences, educational tools and experimental software. Everything on this site is designed, built and tested by one developer who cares about doing it properly.
About YahHeardIs YahHeard a big company?
No — YahHeard is an independent developer, and the site never pretends otherwise. That means honest statuses, no invented team pages and no marketing theatre; it also means every app gets personal attention.
About YahHeardWhy the name "YahHeard"?
The name is the promise: when something here is worth your time, you'll have heard. It also nods to the idea that good software earns word-of-mouth rather than buying attention.
About YahHeardWhat kinds of apps does YahHeard make?
The collection spans games, pet encyclopedias, camera experiments, digital-wellbeing tools, festival companions, finance trackers, health-information resources and more. The App directory lets you browse everything by category, status and project family.
About YahHeardIs this the YahHeard 3D-printing website?
No. This site is the home of YahHeard's apps, games and software projects only — it carries no 3D-printing catalogue or product listings.
App AvailabilityWhich YahHeard apps can I download right now?
None yet — every current project is in development, and the site says so honestly. The Full Release section on the homepage will show finished apps the moment a real release exists.
App AvailabilityWhen will the first apps be released?
When they're genuinely ready. YahHeard deliberately avoids announcing dates it can't be certain of; each app page shows an honest development-progress indicator instead.
App AvailabilityWhat does "In Development" mean?
The app is actively being built but is not yet available to install. Beta means a feature-complete build is being tested — still not a public release.
App AvailabilityWill YahHeard apps be free or paid?
It varies by app and is decided at release. What's already decided: no advertising SDKs, no dark patterns, and paid apps are paid once — UK Festival Survivor's build, for example, fails automatically if an ad SDK sneaks in.
App AvailabilityWill there be iPhone versions?
Current projects are built natively for Android. iOS versions aren't in development, and the site will say clearly if that changes.
