Privacy policy — YahHeard

Who this covers

This policy applies to yahheard.co.uk and its pages. YahHeard is the name under which an independent developer publishes software; see business information. For the purposes of UK data-protection law, YahHeard is responsible for this website.

What is collected

The site is static: every page is prepared in advance and served as a file. It has no sign-in, no comments, no newsletter and no form that sends information anywhere.

You request a page
Your browser asks the host for a page, sending the standard technical details every web request includes.
The page is served
The host returns prepared files. No code on the page identifies you, profiles you or follows you across sites.
Nothing is reported
No analytics script runs, no tracking pixel loads and nothing about your visit is sent to YahHeard.

The site does not collect names, email addresses, analytics events, advertising identifiers, recordings of your visit or location.

Storage in your browser

Two small items may be kept in your browser. Neither is a cookie, neither contains anything about you, and neither is ever sent to a server:

Display preferences (yh-a11y-prefs, in local storage) — your chosen mode, theme, text size, motion and similar settings, so they are still there next time. Saved only after you change a setting.
Footer line (yh-wisdom-last, in session storage) — the number of the short line shown above the footer, so that a reload shows a different one. It disappears when you close the tab.

You can remove both at any time with Restore defaultsin the display settings, or by clearing this site’s data in your browser. More detail is on cookies and storage.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted on Firebase Hosting, a Google service. Like every web host, it necessarily processes the technical details of each request — your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser’s user-agent string — to deliver the page, keep the service running and protect it from abuse. Google handles that processing under its own terms; see Firebase’s privacy and security information. YahHeard does not add analytics or logging of its own on top of the hosting, and does not use these details to identify visitors.

Fonts, images and third parties

Fonts, images, screenshots and scripts are all served from this site. Fonts are packaged with the site when it is built, so viewing a page does not contact a font service. No social-media widgets, embedded videos, maps or advertising networks are loaded.

Links to other sites

Some pages link to official sites elsewhere — standards bodies, health services or the source of a photograph, for example. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which apply once you follow the link.

If you contact us

If you write to YahHeard, your message and email address are used only to read and reply to it, and are not added to any mailing list or shared with anyone else. Messages are deleted once they are no longer needed for the conversation they belong to.

The apps and games

Each project has its own privacy page, written from what its code actually does: what it accesses, what stays on the device, what — if anything — leaves it, and how to delete your data.

Your rights

Under UK data-protection law you have rights over personal data held about you, including to see it, correct it and have it deleted. Because this website collects no personal data of its own, there is normally nothing to look up. If you have written to YahHeard, you can ask for that correspondence to be deleted. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Children

The site collects no personal data from anyone, children included. Some projects are intended for adults and say so on their pages.

Changes to this policy

If the site ever starts collecting or storing anything new, this policy will be updated before that change goes live, and the date below will change.
