Privacy Policy

AppSince

AppSince works entirely on your device. Which apps you track, and every timer and rule, stay in local storage — nothing is uploaded anywhere.

Development status: AppSince is still in development and is not yet available on Google Play. This page describes, from the current source code, how the app is being designed to behave. It will be finalised as the formal privacy policy before any release, and updated if behaviour changes.

Information the App Accesses

  • Names of launchable apps you choose to track (scoped discovery)
  • App-usage timing, only via the optional Usage Access or optional accessibility service

Information Stored on Your Device

  • Tracked-app list, sessions, rules, locks, focus history and widget settings

Information Transmitted Off the Device

Nothing. AppSince has no mechanism for uploading your data.

Sharing and Third-Party Services

No data is shared with third parties. The app contains no advertising or tracking SDKs.

Optional reminders and the optional persistent timer notification.

Usage access (optional)

Lets AppSince reconcile timers without any accessibility access. Granted separately in system settings, only if you choose.

Accessibility service (optional)

An optional package-only service enables immediate foreground detection and user-created blocking rules. It reads app package names only — never screen content.

Exact alarms

Fires unlock reminders at the exact minute you scheduled.

Run at startup

Restores timers and rules after the phone restarts.

  • Tracked apps, sessions, rules and history are stored in a local database on the device.
  • The app declares no network permission in its manifest.
  • It deliberately avoids the broad QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES permission, using scoped discovery instead.
  • The optional accessibility service reads foreground package names only, never screen content.

Data Retention

History stays on your device until you delete it in the app or clear its data.

Data Deletion

Delete history from within the app, or clear the app's storage in Android settings to remove everything.

Children and Age Considerations

AppSince is a general-audience app. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to This Policy

If the app's behaviour changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated. Material changes for a released app will also be reflected in its Google Play listing.
