In Development
AppSince is currently in development and not yet available on Google Play. Support opens fully at release — but feedback and questions are welcome now.
Getting started
AppSince will be installable from Google Play at release; a store button will appear on its page here the moment the listing is real. The app is offline-first: its core features work without a connection.
- Since-you-left timers for any apps you choose
- Optional cooldowns, schedules, allowances and session limits
- Focus sessions with a Quick Settings tile
- Home-screen widgets with live timers
Permissions
AppSince asks only for what its features need, and works sensibly if you decline. To review or change grants: Android Settings → Apps → AppSince → Permissions.
- Notifications: Optional reminders and the optional persistent timer notification.
- Usage access (optional): Lets AppSince reconcile timers without any accessibility access. Granted separately in system settings, only if you choose.
- Accessibility service (optional): An optional package-only service enables immediate foreground detection and user-created blocking rules. It reads app package names only — never screen content.
- Exact alarms: Fires unlock reminders at the exact minute you scheduled.
- Run at startup: Restores timers and rules after the phone restarts.
Common problems
The app is misbehaving or running slowly
- Swipe the app away from Recents and reopen it.
- Check Google Play for an update.
- Clear the app's cache (Android Settings → Apps → AppSince → Storage → Clear cache) — this keeps your data.
Where is my data, and how do I delete it?
History stays on your device until you delete it in the app or clear its data. Delete history from within the app, or clear the app's storage in Android settings to remove everything. Full details are on the AppSince privacy page.
Does it really work offline?
Yes — the core of AppSince is built to work with no signal at all. Anything that does use the network is listed on the privacy page, and none of it is required for everyday use.
Battery and performance tips
AppSinceavoids background work beyond what its features need. If Android's battery optimisation interferes with reminders or timers, exempt the app in Android Settings → Battery → Battery optimisation.
Accessibility
- Full keyboard and TalkBack navigation through Compose semantics
- Timers exposed as readable text, not colour alone
Accessibility problems are treated as bugs — reports are very welcome.
