Your notes, symptoms and appointment records stay on your device. The network is used to refresh informational content and its source links — never to upload anything of yours.

Development status: EDS & Hypermobility Help UK is still in development and is not yet available on Google Play. This page describes, from the current source code, how the app is being designed to behave. It will be finalised as the formal privacy policy before any release, and updated if behaviour changes.

Information the App Accesses

EDS Help UK does not access personal information, sensors, media or files.

  • Your notes, symptom records, appointment prep and passport details you enter

Information Transmitted Off the Device

  • Standard update-check requests to refresh informational content

Sharing and Third-Party Services

No data is shared with third parties. The app contains no advertising or tracking SDKs.

Every permission EDS Help UK requests, and the reason it exists:

Internet

Fetches content-source updates and powers the What's New system. Your notes never leave the device.

Notifications

Optional reminders you create, such as appointment preparation.

Your records stay on the device until you delete or export them.

Delete notes in the app, or clear the app's storage in Android settings to remove everything.

Children and Age Considerations

EDS Help UK is a general-audience app. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to This Policy

If the app's behaviour changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated. Material changes for a released app will also be reflected in its Google Play listing.
