Tandem
Work is stored in the browser's own storage on the device you use. Cloud sync is optional; without it configured, nothing leaves the machine.
Development status: Tandem is still in development and is not yet available on Google Play. This page describes, from the current source code, how the app is being designed to behave. It will be finalised as the formal privacy policy before any release, and updated if behaviour changes.
Information the App Accesses
Tandem does not access personal information, sensors, media or files.
Information Stored on Your Device
- Projects, notes, documents and whiteboards
- Tasks, files, screenshots and snippets
- CRM contacts, follow-ups and money records
- Theme, layout and per-profile preferences
Information Transmitted Off the Device
- Only when Firebase sync is deliberately configured by the person running it
Sharing and Third-Party Services
No data is shared with third parties. The app contains no advertising or tracking SDKs.
This app uses Firebase services; their behaviour is governed by Google's Firebase privacy documentation.
Permissions
Tandem requests no Android permissions at all.

- The app is local-first: records live in the browser's IndexedDB storage for the origin you use.
- Firebase sync is an optional adapter. Without configuration, the app reports cloud collaboration as disconnected rather than silently doing nothing.
- Each origin — localhost, 127.0.0.1, a different port, a deployed domain — has separate browser storage, so work is moved deliberately by export and import.
- Hourly local checkpoints, a recycle bin and revision history protect work locally.
Data Retention
Records persist in the browser's storage for that origin until they are deleted, or the browser's site data is cleared.
Data Deletion
Delete records in the app, empty the recycle bin, or clear the site's browser storage to remove everything for that origin.
Children and Age Considerations
Tandem is a general-audience app. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Where the app links to external websites or services, those destinations are clearly indicated and governed by their own privacy policies.
Changes to This Policy
If the app's behaviour changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated. Material changes for a released app will also be reflected in its Google Play listing.
