UK Festival Survivor

Your location pins, lists and plans stay on the device. The only network feature is refreshing festival packs — there are no accounts, no analytics and a build-enforced ban on advertising SDKs.

Development status: UK Festival Survivor is still in development and is not yet available on Google Play. This page describes, from the current source code, how the app is being designed to behave. It will be finalised as the formal privacy policy before any release, and updated if behaviour changes.

Information the App Accesses

  • Device location, when you save or navigate to a pin

Information Stored on Your Device

  • GPS pins and landmark photos (app-private storage)
  • Packing lists, prep progress and personal map pins

Information Transmitted Off the Device

  • Standard update-check requests to fetch festival pack content

Sharing and Third-Party Services

No data is shared with third parties. The app contains no advertising or tracking SDKs.

Every permission Festival requests, and the reason it exists:

Location

Saves your tent or car position and points the offline compass back to it. GPS works with zero signal; positions stay on the device.

Internet

Used by the Update Centre to refresh festival packs before you travel. The festival guides themselves work fully offline.

Notifications

Optional prep reminders in the countdown to your festival.

Further Detail

  • Tent/car GPS pins, landmark photos, checklists and personal map pins are stored only on the device.
  • The Update Centre fetches festival pack updates; it does not send personal data.
  • The build fails automatically if any advertising or tracking SDK appears in the dependency graph.
  • Festival guide sources are linked per section so you can verify facts yourself.

Data Retention

Everything personal stays on the device until you delete it.

Data Deletion

Delete pins, photos and lists in the app, or clear the app's storage in Android settings.

Children and Age Considerations

Festival is a general-audience app. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

External Links

Where the app links to external websites or services, those destinations are clearly indicated and governed by their own privacy policies.

Changes to This Policy

If the app's behaviour changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated. Material changes for a released app will also be reflected in its Google Play listing.
