UK Festival Survivor

In Development

UK Festival Survivor is currently in development and not yet available on Google Play. Support opens fully at release — but feedback and questions are welcome now.

YahHeard is independent and not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any festival or festival organiser. Festival names are used to identify the events the guides describe.

Getting started

UK Festival Survivor will be installable from Google Play at release; a store button will appear on its page here the moment the listing is real. The app is offline-first: its core features work without a connection.

  • Eight complete offline festival packs with verified, source-linked facts
  • Tent Finder and Car Finder with offline GPS compass
  • Smart packing lists with rain, heatwave, budget and first-timer modes
  • Per-festival prep checklists and a travel-roadmap countdown

Permissions

Festival asks only for what its features need, and works sensibly if you decline. To review or change grants: Android Settings → Apps → Festival → Permissions.

  • Location: Saves your tent or car position and points the offline compass back to it. GPS works with zero signal; positions stay on the device.
  • Internet: Used by the Update Centre to refresh festival packs before you travel. The festival guides themselves work fully offline.
  • Notifications: Optional prep reminders in the countdown to your festival.

Common problems

The app is misbehaving or running slowly
  • Swipe the app away from Recents and reopen it.
  • Check Google Play for an update.
  • Clear the app's cache (Android Settings → Apps → Festival → Storage → Clear cache) — this keeps your data.
Where is my data, and how do I delete it?

Everything personal stays on the device until you delete it. Delete pins, photos and lists in the app, or clear the app's storage in Android settings. Full details are on the Festival privacy page.

Does it really work offline?

Yes — the core of Festival is built to work with no signal at all. Anything that does use the network is listed on the privacy page, and none of it is required for everyday use.

Battery and performance tips

Festivalavoids background work beyond what its features need. If Android's battery optimisation interferes with reminders or timers, exempt the app in Android Settings → Battery → Battery optimisation.

Accessibility

  • High-contrast night-friendly interface
  • Compass navigation readable as text distance and direction

Accessibility problems are treated as bugs — reports are very welcome.
